Medical Records Clerk

NaphCare is hiring a Medical Records Clerk to join the team at William H Donaldson Correctional Facility. This role involves working alongside correctional officers and medical professionals to maintain, organize, and process inmates' medical records.

Responsibilities include entering patient information into electronic systems, filing documents, maintaining physical and digital filing systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy of medical documentation, handling medical information requests per HIPAA regulations, managing mail and messages related to medical records, and performing routine clerical duties.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and adhere to correctional healthcare policies.
  • Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for long periods, lift/move patients up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, perform CPR, and maintain good balance and endurance.
