The Medical Records Clerk will process incoming and outgoing mail and packages, respond to inquiries and requests for information requiring knowledge of departmental and university policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Medical Terminology knowledge is preferred to increase success in this role.
The candidate will support 15-20 Pathologists in a very fast-paced environment and must be flexible and quick to adapt to changing tasks.
Candidates must be resilient and able to interact with multiple personalities.
Responsibilities include managing a library of tissue slides, retrieving and returning them accordingly.
Familiarity with tissue slides or previous pathology lab experience is advantageous.
Strong administrative skills in MS Office and Excel are required.
Candidates may need to travel on foot between hospitals.
The role primarily involves filing patient slides/boards, requiring strong attention to detail and high organization with confidential information.
- Experience with medical records or pathology lab procedures preferred
