The Ross Center is a patient-centered mental health practice dedicated to compassionate, evidence-based care in a supportive professional environment. The Patient Care Coordinator serves as a key contact for patients, handling inbound calls, managing messages, scheduling appointments including telehealth via Zoom, checking patients in and out, collecting and processing payments, assisting with medication prior authorizations, completing forms, and supporting program coordination. The role demands excellent customer service skills and professionalism while supporting daily operations of the mental health practice.
Duties include answering phones and emails promptly, documenting accurate information in EMR, scheduling appointments, securing medication prior authorizations from insurance, assisting patient form completion, directing calls to clinicians or manager when needed, matching new patients with clinicians, creating and sending correspondence, collecting fees and credit card transactions, assisting with accounts receivable follow-up and patient outreach for updated payment info, and other office duties as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years healthcare or hospitality experience preferred
- Proficiency with EMR, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SalesForce, and web-based platforms
Physical demands include manual dexterity for office equipment, periods of sitting and standing, normal or corrected vision, and verbal communication by phone and in person. Work is in an open office with frequent contact with staff, patients, and public.
