Medical Records Specialist

Atlanta Rehabilitation & Performance Center is a well-established private practice with 16 clinics in metro Atlanta focused on physical therapy and rehabilitation.

The Medical Records Specialist will maintain, organize, and protect patient health records in compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies, supporting communication among referral sources and administrative staff.

Responsibilities include managing electronic medical records (EMR), processing medical record requests, verifying documentation compliance, tracking and retrieving physician orders and notes, timely distribution of therapy documentation, communicating with staff and third parties, assisting with compliance audits and quality control, and supporting general administrative tasks.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. 1-2 years healthcare administrative or medical records experience preferred (physical therapy, rehab, outpatient settings). Strong HIPAA knowledge and patient confidentiality. Experience with EMR systems such as WebPT, Raintree, Epic or similar. Excellent attention to detail, organizational and communication skills. Professional, patient-centered attitude.
