Patient Registration Coordinator

New Season

New Season Treatment Centers is a leading national healthcare service provider specializing in outpatient treatment for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). Operating over 70 centers across multiple states, the organization delivers medication-assisted treatment, counseling, support, and care management to aid patient recovery.

This position performs clerical and administrative duties including greeting, registering, and admitting patients in the healthcare facility. Responsibilities include completing pre-registration for new clients, scheduling appointments, orienting new patients, monitoring patient activities on-premises, and serving as a primary contact for patient inquiries. The role entails collecting co-payments and patient financial responsibilities at the time of service, ensuring accurate and timely data entry of demographics, billing, and clinical information in registration systems.

The coordinator maintains communication with the Program Director, physicians, and nursing staff regarding patient intakes, verifies insurance benefits, obtains prior authorization as necessary, and completes various administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing mail, maintaining and ordering supplies. Confidentiality and adherence to organizational policies are mandatory.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, strong customer service experience, knowledge of electronic health record systems, medical insurance, and at least one year of combined receptionist/cashier and healthcare experience. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Physical demands include sedentary work with occasional exertion up to 10 pounds, proficient finger dexterity for typing and phone use, ability to hear and communicate effectively, and vision to operate computers and observe patients.

The working environment is an open clinic area with moderate noise. Reasonable accommodations for disabilities can be made.

This position is full-time and non-exempt, reporting to the Program Director, without supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year receptionist/cashier or related experience
  • Minimum 1 year healthcare experience
  • Strong customer service background
  • Knowledge of electronic health records systems and medical insurance
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Reasoning, math, and language skills sufficient to interpret complex documents and present information effectively
  • Ability to perform sedentary work with occasional light lifting
  • Ability to work in an open work area with moderate noise
