Medical Records Specialist

Community Clinic

Community Clinic is a patient-directed Community Health Center serving Northwest Arkansas with affordable primary health care and supportive services using a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) approach.

The Medical Records Specialist is responsible for organizing and securing patient medical records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all medical records are accurately entered, tracked, and confidential.
  • Processing Release of Information requests verifying legality and accuracy.
  • Performing scanning, faxing, filing, and supporting medical records staff.
  • Receiving and attaching incoming medical records to electronic medical records (EMR) and delivering them to providers.
  • Handling medication refill requests via EMR.
  • Complying with HIPAA/HITECH, HRSA, NCQA PCMH, and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of medical clerical experience.
  • Proficient English spelling.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English or Marshallese/English) preferred.
  • Ability to learn/use practice management systems and EMRs.
  • Commitment to confidentiality standards.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, in-person.
