Medical Records Coordinator

The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for the successful utilization of the electronic medical record (EMR). This role collaborates with physicians, office staff, nursing management, and staff to utilize the EMR through auditing, analysis, and training.

Attention to detail and accuracy are critical to ensure medical records are complete and accurate. Strong training skills to teach and motivate staff, vendors, and other stakeholders are required to maintain compliance with company, federal, and state guidelines. Collaboration with hospitals, physicians, nursing staff, and leadership is necessary to ensure all records are obtained and maintained accurately in the EMR. Additionally, creating a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents and staff is important.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing with at least one year in nursing management in the long-term care industry and two years of professional nursing experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative care, or geriatric nursing settings. Requirements & Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Minimum of one year nursing management experience in the long-term industry. Two years of professional nursing experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative care, or geriatric nursing settings.
