Scheduler Coordinator

As a Scheduler Coordinator, you will ensure timely assessments for Medicaid beneficiaries by coordinating schedules between beneficiaries, providers, and assessors. This remote position involves managing scheduling efficiently to support service effectiveness, utilizing automated systems, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling assessments conducted by Registered Nurses for in-home and facility settings using automated systems.
  • Documenting all scheduling interactions within state and proprietary systems.
  • Initiating outbound communications with beneficiaries and providers to schedule assessments and optimize routing.
  • Providing prompt responses to inquiries, conflicts, and complaints related to scheduling.
  • Understanding and adhering to internal policies, procedures, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Consulting supervisors on complex or unresolved scheduling issues.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of healthcare customer service experience, scheduling experience, and outbound calling skills, preferably in a call center environment. Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and access to a secure remote work environment are required.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in healthcare.
  • Minimum 1 year scheduling experience.
  • Minimum 1 year outbound calling experience, preferably in a call center.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Access to high-speed internet and a secure, private workspace.
  • Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA and related privacy and security rules.
