Patient Coordinator

This position is located at Cincinnati Eye Institute in Cincinnati, OH.

As a Patient Coordinator, you will demonstrate quality patient service during interactions with patients, coworkers, and vendors by exhibiting positive attitude, flexibility in accepting work assignments and priorities, dependability, and professionalism. You will meet and greet patients, explain check-in procedures, copy insurance cards, update and input practice management information such as insurance, address, and phone details, take co-pays and payments, scan paperwork into computerized medical records, schedule appointments, and assist with patient questions and complaints. Additional duties include supervising patient services professionals, coordinating schedules, collaborating on performance evaluations, managing daily faxes, and other assigned tasks.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED (Associate's degree preferred), at least one year of prior medical office administration experience, good computer skills, and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. A favorable background check is required and the ability to provide proof of identity and work authorization in the U.S.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. Physical requirements include frequent walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 25 lbs, fine motor skills for typing and use of technology, and good visual and auditory acuity.

Work is performed in a normal office environment with possible exposure to blood or bodily fluids and cleaning supplies. Standard personal protective equipment protocols are followed.
