Medical Records Clerk / Central Supply

Country Villa Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Medical Records Coordinator / Central Supply professional with skilled nursing or healthcare experience. The role involves managing medical records, compliance, and supply coordination to maintain accurate, complete, and compliant resident records from admission through discharge and ensuring HIPAA, federal, and state regulations compliance.

Key responsibilities include performing ICD coding and diagnostic documentation, conducting routine audits, managing medical records systems, preparing reports, handling release of information for insurance and legal requests, maintaining census and admission/discharge logs, ensuring nursing units have proper charts and supplies, and supporting Central Supply functions.

Qualifications include a minimum of 3 years medical records experience in skilled nursing or healthcare, knowledge of ICD coding preferred, understanding of medical terminology, HIPAA, and long-term care regulations, audit and compliance experience, and preferably RHIT or RHIA credential. Strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • RHIT or RHIA credential preferred
