Medical Records Coordinator

The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for the successful utilization of the electronic medical record (EMR). They collaborate with physicians, office staff, nursing management, and other staff to utilize the EMR through auditing, analysis, and training.

Key skills include attention to detail and accuracy to ensure complete and accurate medical records; training ability to teach and motivate staff and vendors to comply with company, Federal, and State guidelines; and collaboration with hospitals, physicians, nursing staff, and leadership to ensure all records are obtained and maintained.

The role also involves creating a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents and staff.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited school of nursing, a minimum of one year in nursing management within the long-term care industry, and at least two years of professional nursing experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative care, or geriatric nursing settings. The candidate should demonstrate Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence (C.A.R.E.) values.

Requirements & Qualifications
