As a Medical Records Clerk (Health Information Clerk), you will manage patients’ health records and history. Responsibilities include conducting audits, gathering and filing patient information, and processing discharge papers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patient charts and gather documents from patients
- Ensure medical records are organized, accurate, and complete
- Create digital copies of paperwork and store records electronically
- File paperwork and inpatient reports accurately and promptly
- Safeguard patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Transfer data into the facility’s main system database
- Process records for admitting and discharging patients
- Prepare invoices
