Records Specialist

Our client, a major provider/database for medical records, is actively looking for a Records Specialist to join their team in Lansing, MI! This is a fully onsite position, Monday-Friday in the Lansing office, so only local applicants will be considered.

This begins as a 3 month contract with an opportunity to extend or convert at any time.

Responsibilities:

  • Records researching, processing, fulfilling, and shipping vital records orders.
  • Researching discrepancies.
  • Contacting customers, answering phones/emails.
  • Following all compliance and privacy rules.
  • Reporting issues with processes/systems.
  • Communicating with on-site management.
  • Attending and completing all scheduled meetings and trainings.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of office experience.
  • Experience professionally using Outlook, MS Teams, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and stay focused on given tasks.
