Our practice, Lebanon Oral Surgery Group is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join our team! This role requires a self-motivated individual who excels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while offering support and solutions to patients.
Responsibilities include greeting visitors, patients, and families professionally and directing them appropriately; maintaining efficient patient flow through the registration process with excellent customer service; promptly answering telephone calls and directing them as needed; posting self-pay charges, collecting payments, and providing receipts; reconciling billing slips to daily schedule; updating patient information including demographics, insurance, HIPAA forms, and financial waivers; scheduling appointments accurately using department guidelines and waitlists; communicating problems or concerns promptly to Team Lead/Manager; performing clerical duties such as faxing, photocopying, scanning, filing, and mailing; demonstrating flexibility with work schedules and covering other staff or office locations; following downtime procedures; and performing any assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare or related field preferred
- 1+ year of dental administration experience highly preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of electronic medical systems
- Adeptness in the healthcare industry
- Excellent phone etiquette and ability to establish rapport with diverse clientele
- Ability to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
