Clinical Administrative Coordinator

This position offers remote work flexibility if located within 50 miles of 2720 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV.

UnitedHealthcare is dedicated to simplifying healthcare, improving communities, and removing barriers to quality care. This full-time role involves working 40 hours per week over four 10-hour shifts, primarily between 2:00 PM and 12:30 AM PST, with occasional overtime or weekend work as needed. Two to three weeks of paid onsite training (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday) is provided.

Responsibilities include assisting RN Case Managers with the coordination of transitions of care from acute care, sub-acute, and skilled facilities, managing telephone call queues, contacting members and families, collaborating with hospital personnel for care transitions, maintaining and distributing discharge transport logs and other reports, verifying insurance eligibility, supporting RN supervisors and managers with tasks, and solving routine to complex issues related to inpatient and skilled nursing facility cases.

This is a high-volume customer service environment requiring efficiency, productivity, thoroughness, and flexibility to work evening hours.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • At least 2 years' experience in a healthcare facility, medical office, hospital, or managed care setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Data entry and basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Ability to attend onsite training in Las Vegas, NV

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws/regulations

Telecommuting requirements include residing within 50 miles of the Las Vegas office, maintaining information privacy and security, having a dedicated work area separated from living areas, and access to a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection.

Soft skills needed: effective communication with members/families/staff via phone and email, collaboration, empathy, professionalism, problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

Compensation is hourly between $17.98 and $32.12 based on various factors. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentive programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contributions (subject to eligibility).   • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to attend onsite training in Las Vegas
  • Ability to work four 10-hour shifts during 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM PST
  • Reside within 50 miles of Las Vegas office for telecommuting

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of federal and state laws/regulations applicable to the unit
