Within Reach Hospice is a Medicare- and Medi-Cal–certified hospice provider headquartered in North Hollywood, California. Their interdisciplinary team includes physicians, registered nurses, hospice aides, social workers, spiritual counselors, and trained volunteers serving patients and families across the San Fernando Valley and greater Los Angeles with expert clinical care, emotional support, and presence into homes, assisted living, and long-term care communities—24/7 year-round.
This role is for a Virtual Personal Assistant working directly with the Director of Operations as their primary administrative partner. Responsibilities include managing the Director's calendar, drafting professional correspondence to families, physicians, referral partners, and vendors, preparing documents such as letters, reports, memos, presentations, and onboarding packets, maintaining confidential patient and personnel records according to HIPAA and California privacy laws, supporting recruiting and hiring activities, routing phone calls, tracking tasks, providing bookkeeping and expense-tracking support, and proactively identifying scheduling conflicts and deadlines.
This is a fully remote, full-time position open to candidates across the United States with Monday to Friday flexible scheduling. The role involves close collaboration with recruiting, HR, and clinical management teams as needed.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent professional English communication skills, discretion with sensitive information, proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, ability to learn new tools quickly, and willingness to complete HIPAA training. Prior administrative or executive assistant experience, healthcare or hospice background, bilingual Spanish/English ability, and familiarity with EMR or hospice management systems are strongly preferred.
