Join the Office of Mental Health team dedicated to providing compassionate and accessible care to the community. Seeking an Administrative Specialist II for Child, Adolescent & Family (CAF) Clinic motivated to help individuals and families navigate life's challenges and achieve long-term wellness.
Location: SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health (OMH), Lexington County Community Mental Health Center, 305 Palmetto Park Blvd, Lexington, SC 29072.
Duties include advanced administrative and clerical tasks critical to Lexington County CMHC operations such as clerical work, secretarial duties, data entry, and medical records maintenance with independent decision-making on daily operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support; screening calls; greeting customers professionally; scheduling and managing appointments; notifying staff of patient arrivals via EMR/telephone.
- Maintaining policies and procedures; processing routine matters.
- Managing assigned medical records per regulations; updating patient financial and demographic info; scanning/importing documents; supporting intake process and providers.
- Assisting at satellite offices/clinics as needed.
- Collecting patient fees and verifying daily collections following BHDD cash policies.
- Adhering to healthcare compliance policies, regulations, and standards.
- Completing required annual trainings including Safety, MAPS, Cultural Affairs, and clinical trainings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma with 2 years clerical experience, or associate degree in secretarial science or related field, or 3 years clerical experience.
Preferred:
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish or another language.

- Experience with phone reception, filing, and time management.
- Basic Microsoft Windows knowledge.
