Charge Entry Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Charge Entry Specialist for Physical and Occupational therapy to join our healthcare team. You will be responsible for accurately entering charges into electronic health record (EHR) and billing systems, ensuring seamless financial workflows and optimal revenue cycle management. Your expertise in medical coding, medical terminology, and coding systems is essential for accurate billing.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input charges into EMR and billing systems, ensuring complete and precise data
  • Review medical records to verify correct CPT, ICD-10, and DRG codes for billing
  • Collaborate with coders and billers to resolve charge entry discrepancies
  • Maintain detailed records of entries, edits, and adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and coding guidelines
  • Assist with updating patient demographic information
  • Support collection by verifying insurance and processing initial claims

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in therapy coding, charge entry, or medical billing in healthcare
  • Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, DRG coding systems, and medical terminology
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
  • Understanding of medical records management and compliance
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Join as a Charge Entry Specialist to streamline revenue cycle and ensure accurate billing supporting exceptional healthcare.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
