The Charge Correction Representative is responsible for making invoice corrections to facilitate billing according to insurance carrier requirements and coding policies.
Responsibilities include entering/updating patient demographics and insurance information, correcting claim edits, assigning Financial Status Classifications, correcting ICD-10, CPT-4, and provider codes as designated by the coder, balancing batches, reviewing weekly statements and claim edit reports, and maintaining quality assurance standards.
Work may involve prolonged computer use, manual dexterity, and the ability to work overtime as needed.

- One year of previous medical billing and/or medical terminology experience preferred
- Understanding of contractual billing procedures preferred
- Ten-key experience is a plus
- Computer literate with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
