Kinwell, a company focused on personalized, whole-hearted primary care that includes nutrition, fitness, sleep, and behavioral health, is seeking a Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of outpatient coding across the enterprise. This role involves performing enterprise-wide audits and spot checks to evaluate coding quality, identifying trends, correcting coding errors, submitting clarifying queries to clinicians, coding outpatient encounters, and delivering targeted coding education. The candidate will collaborate with coding teams, compliance, and primary care providers to optimize revenue cycle and documentation excellence.
This remote position requires residency in Washington or Texas at the time of hire.
Key responsibilities include conducting audits, correcting errors in Epic, submitting queries for documentation clarification, coding with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, educating clinical staff, collaborating across departments, trending audit results, and staying current with coding regulations.
Qualifications include Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) credentials, at least three years of outpatient coding experience, strong knowledge of coding guidelines, experience with Epic or similar EHR, attention to detail, good communication skills, and preferably experience in primary care coding, risk adjustment coding, and provider education.
The role is primarily sedentary, in an office healthcare environment with occasional physical requirements such as lifting up to 25 pounds.

Salary range: $58,600 - $106,900 annually, varying by geographic location and experience.
