Responsibilities include performing inpatient coding audits for facility reporting, leveraging knowledge of reimbursement systems such as MS-DRG, APR-DRG, IPPPS, APC, RBRVS, providing educational services based on audit outcomes, analyzing audit results for improvement trends, utilizing coding resources and maintaining confidentiality and compliance with federal, state, and hospital guidelines.
Qualifications require RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS/P, or CPC certification, 3+ years inpatient auditing experience, strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT-4 codes, detail orientation, independence, and MS Office proficiency.
Salary range: $72,000 - $77,000 annually varying by location and experience.
