Medical Records and Billing Specialist

Our personal injury law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records & Billing Specialist to support the efficient handling of client cases. This role is responsible for requesting, tracking, reviewing, and organizing medical records and billing documentation related to personal injury claims.

Key responsibilities include requesting and following up on medical records and billing from healthcare providers, auditing incoming medical records and bills for completeness and discrepancies, organizing and uploading records into the case management system, entering medical bills and expenses, processing and tracking invoices, communicating with medical providers, troubleshooting portal issues, verifying HIPAA authorizations, monitoring cases for deadlines, and maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 36 months of related administrative support, data entry, or medical records experience
  • Comfortable communicating with medical providers
  • Familiarity with Filevine or similar case management systems preferred
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
