This role supports Commercial and Government billing and collections for Insurance Follow up and Accounts Receivable, including reviewing and submitting multi-specialty claims, account follow-up, and updating patient registration. The position requires expert knowledge in revenue cycle functions, regulatory requirements, payor contracts, and CSHS policies. Responsibilities include billing, submitting appeals, and collecting physician reimbursements with minimal supervision. The environment is team-oriented, aiming to fulfill departmental goals.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of professional physician billing/collection experience, strong knowledge of insurance procedures, ability to read EOBs, and proficiency in medical terminology and coding (ICD, CPT, HCPCS). Experience with MS Office, Web/Vs, Availity, and CS-Link preferred. Understanding of HIPAA and regulatory policies is required. Must complete PRMPT 1 and demonstrate strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or GED required

- Expert knowledge of medical terminology and coding (ICD, CPT, HCPCS, Modifiers, procedure, bill type, diagnosis, revenue codes)
- Experience with MS Office, Web/Vs, Availity and CS-Link preferred
- Understanding of HIPAA and privacy guidelines
- Ability to perform business math
- Successful completion of PRMPT 1
- Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively
- Experience in Commercial and Government billing and follow up including office visits, procedures, outpatient and inpatient
- Ability to interpret regulations for Commercial Insurance, CMS or Medi-Cal
