NCDHHS is seeking an experienced Epic PB (Professional Billing), HB (Hospital Billing), and Claims Analyst with at least 8 years of experience. This remote contract position involves analyzing, documenting, and communicating business requirements for Epic system functionality and enhancements, testing system changes, supporting application end-users, guiding workflow design, builds and tests, and collaborating with quality, operational, and business leaders to optimize the Epic EHR and third-party applications.
The role requires strong leadership and communication skills to effectively present information to clinical and business leaders, experience working under tight deadlines, and Epic certifications in Resolute PB, HB, and Claims. Candidates must have a minimum of five years' progressive revenue cycle/healthcare experience with Epic build and knowledge of revenue cycle billing processes, hospital and professional billing, claims processing, and payer/plan management.
Additional responsibilities include developing testing scripts, cash management, claims processing (including substance abuse and psychiatric billing), troubleshooting, system documentation, and assisting with training and communication for system changes. The role supports change management and continuous improvement within the revenue cycle areas.
Must pass background and drug tests. Educational requirement is a bachelor's degree or 8 years direct experience. Experience with third-party vendors such as Experian, Relay Health, and Hyland OnBase is also desired.
Working conditions may require some after-hours or weekend work and infrequent travel.
