Westerkamp Group, LLC is an Accounts Receivable Management company focused on hospital and professional billing and collections. The Denial Specialist - Epic PB role requires leadership, analytical skills, and expertise in Epic Professional Billing configurations impacting denial lifecycle.
Responsibilities include leading a team to resolve denied claims, identifying root causes, implementing prevention strategies, analyzing Epic workflows, troubleshooting Epic PB issues, maintaining denial management policies, and reporting on denial trends and team performance.
Qualifications include 1+ years experience as an Epic Professional Billing Analyst, Epic Resolute PB Certification preferred, knowledge of professional medical coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), claim submission (CMS-1500), remittance processing (ERA/EOB), strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as an Epic Professional Billing (PB) Analyst or similar role
- Epic Resolute PB Certification highly preferred; other Epic certifications (Prelude, Cadence) a plus
- Strong understanding of professional medical coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
- Knowledge of claim submission (CMS-1500) and remittance processing (ERA/EOB)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
