Treatment Plan Coordinator / Insurance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Treatment Plan Coordinator / Insurance Specialist to join our D'Iberville and Hattiesburg staff. This position is key in ensuring a seamless patient experience by coordinating treatment plans, verifying insurance benefits, and supporting check-out and scheduling.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and finalize all patient appointments and treatment schedules at check-out.
  • Review, explain, and communicate treatment plans to patients clearly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant patient records.
  • Verify insurance benefits, eligibility, and coverage for treatments.
  • Assist with billing processes, including documentation and ICD-10 coding.
  • Utilize EHR and medical scheduling/billing software.
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure smooth workflow and quality care.
  • Travel between D'Iberville and Hattiesburg locations with monthly travel allowance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Treatment Plan Coordinator or equivalent in a procedure-based clinical setting.
  • Strong insurance knowledge.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology.
  • Experience with ICD-10 coding and billing preferred.
  • Familiarity with EHR and scheduling software.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional patient service.

This is an in-person full-time position, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year experience as Treatment Plan Coordinator or similar in a procedure-based clinical setting (e.g., dermatology, surgery, vein care, GI, dental surgery).
  • Strong insurance knowledge including benefit verification.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and medical billing preferred.
  • Experience with EHR and medical scheduling software.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to explain treatment plans and insurance information to patients.
  • Comfortable with travel between office locations.
