Medical Assistant / Medical Office Staff Member

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant / Medical Office Staff Member to join our dynamic healthcare team. You will provide comprehensive support to medical providers and ensure a seamless patient experience. Responsibilities include clinical tasks, administrative support, and patient care activities across specialties such as Internal Medicine, Weight Loss, and outpatient clinics.

  • Greet patients, verify information, assist intake process ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Measure and record vital signs using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, ensure comfort.
  • Assist providers with clinical procedures including medication administration, X-ray, basic life support.
  • Support patient care activities by updating medical histories, documenting symptoms, managing ICD coding for billing and records.
  • Perform injections and phlebotomies, assist physician with clinical work.
  • Manage administrative duties like appointment scheduling, patient record maintenance, referrals, and follow-up visits.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and safeguard patient confidentiality.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Proven experience in outpatient or inpatient hospital medicine or outpatient internal medicine/primary care.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical-surgical procedures.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in ICD coding and medication administration documentation.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Experience in internal medicine settings is a plus.
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs collection, specimen collection, X-ray assistance, and emergency response.
  • Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach.
  • Prior clinic experience required; outpatient or inpatient environments.
