Senior Healthcare Reclamation Analyst

Machinify, a leader in healthcare intelligence, acquired Performant in October 2025. This senior healthcare reclamation analyst position involves reviewing and analyzing large volumes of client data and payer correspondence to recover funds paid in error. The role includes determining eligibility and primacy, interpreting explanation of benefits, handling client requests, supporting team development, reporting, and improving operational infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include solving complex data discrepancies, communicating effectively with healthcare insurance carriers, educating carriers on Coordination of Benefits rules, collaborating internally for workflow improvements, researching eligibility and claims appeals, updating systems accurately, supporting management with team tasks, mentoring junior analysts, performing quality reviews, and adhering to HIPAA and client compliance requirements. The position requires maintaining production and quality metrics and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The candidate must have strong healthcare knowledge, medical terminology, and high-level medical coding experience related to billing reclamation, recovery, and eligibility. Expertise in Coordination of Benefits, Third Party Liability, and explanation of benefits interpretation is required. The role demands strong analytical, investigative, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adhering to compliance and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (college preferred), at least 4 years of relevant progressive experience including billing reclamation and COB, and at least 1 year of experience leading initiatives or staff. The role supports data analysis, reporting, client program setup, training, and project management.
