We are a privately owned dental office in Fort Wayne, IN. Our biggest focus is to better the health of our community, which is why we are seeking a reliable Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. Your role will be vitally important to keeping our practice running smoothly & maintaining our valued patients in the highest level of dental health. As you are excited by these extraordinary opportunities, we look forward to hearing from you very soon.

Duties:

  • Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, to ensure safety and personalized care.
  • Conduct dental cleanings, periodontal therapy, SRP (Scaling and Root Planing) and patient education on oral hygiene practices.
  • Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting treatment plans, patient interactions, and clinical findings in EMR systems like Eaglesoft.
  • Follow infection control protocols adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, placing sealants, fluorides, and preventive care strategies tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable.

Skills:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Hygienist.
  • Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for scheduling, documentation review, and record management.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and infection control practices.
  • Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and pediatric patient care strategies.
  • Skilled in chairside assisting with expertise in medical imaging and vital signs monitoring.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, providing compassionate care while explaining treatment options clearly.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards for safeguarding patient information.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation review processes within a dental setting.

Pay: $50.00 - $100.00 per hour
