The purpose of this position is to identify trends that will improve the overall accounts receivable by completing analysis of charge validation and denials resolution. The Patient Financial Services Analyst will perform various patient accounting functions including insurance and self-pay billing, remit analysis and cash posting, accounts receivable management, and claims follow-up.

Key responsibilities include identifying and reconciling billing errors, ensuring proper charge capture and claims adjudication per billing guidelines, monitoring discharged not final billed accounts, analyzing payer relations for bulk resolution, reviewing data discrepancies using multiple applications, supporting process and system analysis, providing guidance for assigned service lines, and assisting with special projects as assigned.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in hospital or physician billing office with at least two years of relevant experience. Knowledge of hospital/clinic billing and collections, payer remittances, CPTs, HCPCS, Revenue Codes, insurance billing policies, payment reconciliation, and medical terminology are required.
Skills needed include critical thinking, organizational, oral, and written communication abilities. The role requires collaboration within cross-functional teams, extensive data entry, and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in hospital/physician billing office
