Experience:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with specialization or certification as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA).
- Familiarity with dental assisting procedures across multiple specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic is a plus.
- Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge, and medical documentation practices.
- Experience working in pediatric dentistry or clinics serving pediatric patients is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical records management, medical coding, and familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety guidelines.
