The Certified/Registered Medical Assistant II (CMA/RMA) provides high-quality, compassionate clinical and administrative support to healthcare professionals in outpatient and hospital settings. Responsibilities include conducting patient intakes, assisting providers during exams and procedures, performing EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection, maintaining infection control and safety protocols, supporting patient triage and care coordination, providing patient education, documenting clinical data in electronic health records (EHR), scheduling and tracking patient appointments and authorizations, verifying insurance coverage, monitoring inventory, participating in quality improvement, facilitating communication among healthcare teams, and adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year experience as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant, CMA or RMA certification, graduation from an accredited medical assistant program, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, familiarity with EHR systems, proficiency in vital signs measurement and routine diagnostic procedures, knowledge of infection control and sterile techniques, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and commitment to continuous learning and patient-centered care.
