As a Partner in Wellbeing, the Client Financial Navigator ensures effective and efficient day-to-day operations, including client communication and billing and collection tasks. This role completes assigned revenue cycle processes with accuracy, impacting organizational cash flow, compliance, client satisfaction, financial well-being, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities include supporting self-pay clients through counseling and education on insurance benefits, Medicaid eligibility, and financial assistance programs; assisting finance with billing, collections, data entry, and communications; managing monthly client collections; leading client verification processes; ensuring compliance with agency procedures; reconciling payments per contracts; researching and resolving grant-related issues; arranging resolution of client past due balances; improving job procedures; managing account receivable escheatment processes; providing vital management information; collaborating with department managers; coordinating with external support entities; and performing additional duties as assigned.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or two years equivalent experience in billing, healthcare prior authorization, reimbursement, coding, or finance, with customer service experience in financial discussions. Must pass MN DHS NetStudy criminal background check, have valid driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle, and be substance use free for at least two years.
Required skills include knowledge of insurance billing and payment methodology, attention to detail, self-motivation, analytical thinking, teamwork, advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills, clear verbal and written communication, and ability to maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA.
