Aventura at Oakwood is hiring a Part-time Business Office Assistant (Medicaid Coordinator) to support financial operations at a skilled nursing facility. This position involves billing, Medicaid eligibility, accounts receivable, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating Medicaid applications and eligibility, supporting billing processes (Medicare A, B, C, Medicaid, private pay, insurance), assisting with accounts receivable monitoring and collection, ensuring timely and accurate billing, maintaining knowledge of long-term care regulations, collaborating on payer source verification, tracking financial performance, supporting business office operations, participating in financial meetings, providing customer service to residents and families, and assisting with audits and compliance initiatives.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred, with a minimum of 3 years experience in healthcare billing or business office operations, preferably in skilled nursing or hospital settings. Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, long-term care billing practices and relevant regulations, experience with A/R systems and healthcare billing software, and strong communication and problem-solving skills are required.
