Assistant Business Office Manager

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Business Office Manager to join our healthcare administrative team. In this vital role, you will support the management of medical billing, coding, and revenue cycle processes to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations. Your expertise in medical coding, billing procedures, and medical records management will help optimize revenue flow while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment where accuracy, organization, and excellent communication are key drivers of success.

Responsibilities include assisting with Medicaid applications, redeterminations, and documentation gathering; supporting Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and HMO billing while ensuring compliance with regulations; managing resident trust funds; daily cash posting, banking, and account reconciliation; processing accounts payable; assisting with end-of-month procedures; meeting with residents and families to discuss financial obligations and insurance coverage; maintaining census data in electronic medical record (EMR) systems; and general office duties such as scanning, copying, ordering, and reception.

Previous experience in a long-term care or facility business office setting is desired. Strong knowledge of Kansas Medicaid, Medicare reimbursement, ICD-9/ICD-10, and Point Click Care EHR is important. Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) with a high level of organization and accuracy. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in long-term care (LTC) and/or facility business office setting is desired

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • High level of organization and accuracy
