Finance Manager

The Financial Manager ensures accurate and timely financial records, compliance with financial policies, and overall financial support of the facility's business operations. Responsibilities include maintaining resident financial files, reconciling trust fund accounts, preparing deposits, managing patient census data, private pay collections, Medicaid billing and tracking, record keeping, verifying insurance benefits, and assisting with Medicaid applications. The role involves team leadership, participation in financial quality assurance meetings, and ensuring compliance with clinical policies for abuse prevention. Additional duties include managing petty cash, acting as Manager on Duty on weekends, and promoting patient safety.

The position requires a high school diploma (college preferred), skilled nursing facility billing experience including Texas Medicaid, bookkeeping and accounting knowledge, and experience with computerized accounting systems like American Health Tech or HealthMedX Vision. Prior supervisory experience, strong problem-solving skills, and multitasking ability are valued.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; college degree or advanced courses preferred
  • Prior skilled nursing facility billing experience including Texas Medicaid
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems (American Health Tech and/or HealthMedX Vision preferred)
  • Experience in record keeping and office management
  • Supervisory experience beneficial
  • Strong problem solving and multitasking skills
