Front Desk Associate

Community Eye Care Specialists

At Community Eye Care Specialists, the mission is to provide patients with the highest level of quality care treating them like family. With office locations across Northern PA and Southern NY including Dunkirk, this role supports the mission by facilitating excellent patient service.

This Front Desk Associate position requires interacting with patients in person and over the phone to gather accurate demographic, financial, and insurance information essential for billing and collections. Responsibilities include answering multiple phone lines, scheduling appointments, processing medical record requests, entering patient information, collecting co-pays and balances, and coordinating with clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
  • At least 2 years healthcare insurance experience.
  • Strong computer skills with a typing speed of at least 30 WPM.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
  • Dependable, organized, professional image.
  • Ability to learn quickly, retain training, problem solve, and work independently.
  • Preferred understanding of medical terminology.
