Resource Specialist - Infusion Center

Mountain View Hospital seeks a Resource Specialist to support the Mountain View Infusion and Prescription Center Homecare Infusion office. This role involves training, scheduling, prior authorization, admissions, clerical duties, billing, audits, and inventory management.

The specialist collaborates with healthcare team members including pharmacists, physicians, and nurses to facilitate positive patient care and assists in obtaining paperwork for pre-authorizations and medical necessity verification. Accuracy in data entry and authorization verification is critical, ensuring all visits and procedures are appropriately authorized. The position requires communication with referring providers and billing offices concerning authorizations and denials.

Additional duties include clerical support such as typing, filing, reception, and inventory stocking. The role promotes a safe environment, adheres to infection control policies, and supports patient and staff safety.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of diagnoses and CPT codes related to infusion service authorization is preferred.

Experience: Prior outpatient billing and coding experience is preferred.
