Patient Service Specialist

As a Patient Service Specialist, you will ensure the highest level of customer service to patients, employees, and referral sources by coordinating and administering the facility's front office activities. Your responsibilities include patient scheduling, reception duties, medical record preparation, clinic statistics and report compilation, data collection related to patient demographics and third-party payers, obtaining and tracking authorizations, and handling daily bank deposits for over the counter cash. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, preferably two years in a medical office setting requiring multi-tasking, knowledge of health insurance, basic computer skills including word processing and office procedures, and excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Must be available for early mornings and evenings Monday through Friday.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of medical office experience preferred
  • Knowledge of health insurance preferred
  • Basic computer skills including keyboard familiarity and word processing
  • Proficiency with office procedures, filing, fax, photocopy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, patients, physicians, and community members
  • Availability for early mornings and evenings Monday through Friday
