As a Medical Assistant, you will be a key component of the care team, working closely with primary care physicians to deliver excellent patient care and an exceptional guest experience. You will manage the full patient experience, acting both as a Medical Receptionist and performing clinical Medical Assistant duties.
Responsibilities include:
- Escorting patients to exam rooms and preparing rooms
- Reviewing and gathering updated patient health information
- Taking vitals, blood draws, administering injections, bandaging wounds, and assisting with procedures
- Preparing and administering medications and immunizations as ordered by providers
- Collaborating with care team members to develop patient care plans
- Performing front desk duties: scheduling, medical records management, coordinating referrals and specialist visits
- Recording accurate medical documentation
- Processing test results and communicating them to patients
- Participating in patient outreach to encourage engagement
- Maintaining clinical and office supplies and equipment
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care
- Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program
- National or state-specific MA certification or registration preferred; required where mandated
- CPR/BLS certification required at start date
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
