Mental Health Compliance Specialist

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for reviewing documentation compliance for client records, participating in audits and quality assurance activities, interfacing with outside agencies, and ensuring records meet regulatory standards.

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 hourly (based on experience).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration or related field
  • Preferred experience: DMH Quality Assurance, knowledge of Integrated System and billing codes, or case management
  • Proficient in office and clinical software
  • Ability to pass physical, TB, drug screening
  • Ability to commute to various sites
  • Additional clearance and insurability requirements

Key responsibilities:

  • Track and process county and department documentation
  • Review compliance of documentation
  • Attend relevant meetings
  • Monitor and correct claims in system
  • Perform consumer surveys
  • Audit client charts monthly
  • Assist staff in completing documentation
  • Prepare for visits and audits
  • Coordinate procedural changes
  • Participate in performance and quality improvement

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration or related discipline
  • Prefer prior DMH Quality Assurance experience including knowledge of billing codes or Case Management experience
  • Proficiency with word processing, email, internet, clinical software
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical, TB test, drug screening
  • Ability to commute and work extended hours as needed
  • Clearances including DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index
  • Insurability under corporate automobile insurance
