Patient Service Specialist

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for the VOI Clinic - Wilson County in Lebanon, TN. This role involves providing services to patients before, during, or after appointments with minimal guidance, facilitating efficient workflow, supporting appropriate use of technology, and engaging in effective communication.

Key responsibilities include scheduling appointments and procedures using clinical communication tools, managing registrations and patient work queues, coordinating with patients and outside facilities to ensure pre-appointment orders and consults are ready, and communicating with patients through the patient portal using critical decision making.

The position is Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with no nights or weekends. This role requires proficiency in customer service, patient scheduling, patient documentation, and medical terminology at varying levels from novice to intermediate.

Requirements & Qualifications
