Certified Medical Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator

Exciting Opportunity: Earn $50,000-$55,000 annually as a Certified Medical Assistant / Patient Care Specialist! Base hourly rate of $21-$23, with bonus potential to reach $55,000!

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Certified Medical Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator. This dual role combines essential patient-facing responsibilities with customer service and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional care and service, ensuring a welcoming environment for our patients. This position comes with a base hourly rate plus biweekly bonuses.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction:

  • Welcome patients by greeting them in person and ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Prepare patients for their healthcare visit by accompanying them to the examination room, providing necessary examination gowns and drapes, and assisting them with positioning for examinations or treatments.
  • Verify patient information through interviews, reviewing medical history, taking vital signs, and confirming the purpose of visits or treatments.

Support Patient Care:

  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, prepare laboratory specimens, perform basic laboratory tests, and administer medications as directed.
  • Educate patients on medication and dietary instructions, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Complete patient records by documenting examinations, treatments, and test results.

Administrative Duties:

  • Schedule appointments and direct patients to the appropriate locations.
  • Process payments and manage billing inquiries, ensuring efficient handling of financial transactions.
  • Answer phones promptly (within 3 rings), respond to emails, and handle correspondence as needed.

Sales and Customer Service:

  • Recognize opportunities to promote and sell our services.
  • Resolve client issues by clarifying concerns, researching solutions, and implementing resolutions while escalating unresolved issues as necessary.

Team Collaboration:

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Work closely with team members and understand office culture, demonstrating a team-oriented approach.

Qualifications:

  • Current on all relevant certifications, including CPR Certification.
  • Previous medical experience and EMR knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Driven professional with a strong customer service background and a desire to build positive relationships with patients.
  • Data entry skills with a typing speed of 30-40 words per minute.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Interest in holistic and integrative medicine is a plus.
  • Education: A minimum of a 2-year associate degree is required, along with 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Current on all Certifications

Working Conditions:

  • Must be proactive in job responsibilities and report to positions on time.
  • Willingness to travel between our office locations in Brookhaven and Johns Creek.
