Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator)

Position Overview: Join our team as a Care Coordinator who contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. This role involves administrative and customer service tasks supporting the hospital. Titles like Veterinary Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or Client Care Specialist align with this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations.
  • Manage lobby flow, address concerns, calm distressed pet owners, and schedule appointments.
  • Handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
  • Assist with medication pickups, inquiries, and provide information about services and products.
  • Input and manage data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
  • Assist with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
  • Reconcile cash drawer and perform end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of Veterinary experience.

Schedule:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 7 AM to 6 PM.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum one year veterinary experience
  • Ability to handle customer service in high-stress situations
  • Competency in basic medical emergency handling for pets
  • Experience with practice management software is preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
