Coordinate nursing services for students and staff in the Gadsden Independent School District.
Manage the Medicaid School Health Program (MSBS), including training nursing, special education staff, and others on reimbursable services.
Assist with budget planning and utilization of funds generated through the MSBS program.
Coordinate outreach for uninsured and underinsured students.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws related to the MSBS program.
Monitor, prepare, and submit district, state, and federal reports related to MSBS.
Collaborate with community agencies, nursing, special education, educational staff, and administrators.
Serve on district committees and participate in trainings as required by the New Mexico Human Services Department MSBS program.
Lead a committee to review and assess use of Medicaid funds and monitor Medicaid-related budgets and expenditures.
Maintain records and documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
Identify and provide training needs related to MSBS for health service providers and staff.
Identify Medicaid-eligible students monthly, monitor billable health services, perform outreach to assist students with health insurance access, and maintain related databases and documentation.
Directly supervise the Medicaid Clerk/Secretary/Specialist to ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations.
Promote and follow district policies and procedures.
Maintain student and employee confidentiality.
