Echosonography Tech

Orlando Health is seeking an Echo Sonographer to provide quality patient care by performing diagnostic cardiology and/or vascular sonographic imaging and related procedures. The role requires competency in routine noninvasive and invasive cardiology and/or vascular ultrasound diagnostics.

Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment, recognizing normal and abnormal anatomy, performing sonographic exams independently, ensuring quality control, maintaining accurate documentation, and participating in training and quality initiatives.

This position requires adherence to all applicable regulations and Orlando Health policies, patient safety protocols, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Occasional after-hours and call shifts may be required, as well as assisting in IV insertion and contrast administration when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited sonography program
  • Certification as RDMS, RDCS, RCS, ACS, RCCS, RVT, or RVS through ARDMS or CCI
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience performing routine echocardiography exams including 2-D and M-Mode Echocardiography and vascular sonography exams

  • Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment
