The Scheduling Coordinator supports communication with physicians, patients, ancillary, and surgical areas involving scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellation of single or multiple tests and procedures at the Bariatric Surgery Institute.
Key duties include providing accurate scheduling information, demonstrating excellent customer service with a Patient First Philosophy, maintaining knowledge of relevant registration, scheduling, and web resources, and familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT codes as necessary.
The role requires proactive communication, superb telephone etiquette, attendance at meetings, and compliance with Orlando Health policies.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a medical terminology course within 90 days of hire, and at least one year of experience in retail, customer service, or healthcare. Computer skills are required.
Employment is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at the Orlando Health Medical Group - Bariatric Surgery in Orlando, FL.
