Join our team of INCREDIBLE Mental Health Professionals working together to inspire healthier communities. This role involves being part of the Mobile Response Team with Civil Commitment, serving Coos County residents by providing behavioral health, public health, and community resources.
As a Civil Commitment Team investigator, you will collaborate with hospitals, courts, and community agencies to conduct investigations for the Pre-commitment and Civil Commitment process. You will act as a liaison between local hospitals and community mental health providers.
You will provide clinical services, including timely investigations and assessments for clients hospitalized under emergency mental health holds, conduct interviews, review medical and police records, coordinate with partners and courts, prepare hearing reports, and possibly testify in commitment hearings.
Additional duties include maintaining professional standards, clinical documentation to required standards, utilizing electronic medical records, representing behavioral health programs in the community, and supporting other clinical programs as needed.

Qualified Mental Health Professional or eligible Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related behavioral health field; or Bachelor's in nursing or occupational therapy with license and experience.
Prefer at least two years postgraduate experience providing clinical behavioral health services. Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and bilingual skills are a plus.
Must maintain Civil Commitment Investigator certification through Oregon Health Authority.
In-depth knowledge of psychological, behavioral, and social disorders and their treatments; strong skills in working with mentally ill individuals, families, physicians, agencies, and public officials.
Ability to prepare detailed reports and patient records and participate in social planning and diagnostic and treatment conferences.
Ability to develop cooperative relationships and skilled in diagnosis and treatment planning.
