Review patient medical records to identify services performed and ensure accurate coding.
Assign appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes, document charges correctly, and prepare superbill documentation for the billing department.
Support accurate medical billing by verifying documentation, signatures, and service details.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to maintain proper coding practices and compliance.
Help improve workflow efficiency by reviewing unbilled reports, submitting charges promptly, and supporting billing and pre-certification teams.
High school diploma required.
RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CPC-A, CCA, or CCS certification preferred, or 5 years of cardiology coding experience.
Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT coding, and medical documentation.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Excellent communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and time management skills.
