The coder/abstracter is responsible for accurate code assignment of inpatient, outpatient, and emergency service diagnoses, procedures, and conditions as documented in the patient medical record. Coding is performed using ICD-10 and CPT in accordance with official coding guidelines and MUSC Health policies and procedures.
